Agreed. Then the subsidies should be repaid.

Agree also with Sai making too many models and variations.

Agreed. Capitalism good. Socialism not good. U.S. now on wrong road.

There are such low margins in the car business at this end , people are stupid if they think there is a fortune to be made.

My goal in the car business - make a difference , and create solutions.

This train of thought seems to be prevalent today..........But , How?......I ask does anyone stay in business, let alone grow your business if everyone is making you publicize your bottom line profits. The amount of profit that the dealer makes has nothing to do with anyone.......The buyer needs to be happy with his purchase, but he does not own the dealers private information or access to the books......entitled......cheeez............

You can only realize a dollar if someone else loses a dollar. People will tell you otherwise, but the real truth of the matter is that you have to take other people's money away from them in order to increase your own wealth. The real trick is taking it so that they are happy that you did. People that do well in the Cobra-hobby industry have learned this simple rule.

While Cobra dealers are private, I think Shelby is a public company. And public companies have to disclose their financial info anyway. Who cares what they make or lose. It's only money.

Shelby is private. Way too small to be a public company.

Stephen thanks for the $1100 reimbursement check, I appreciate that. I was never aware of the fact that you had submitted the additional invoices to Shelby International, Las Vegas it was my understanding from our correspondents, that you were going to handle that. However, if SAI has the invoices will just wait and see what they will do toward the warranty.

As far as the transmission and clutch, unable to shift after the car got hot problem, we never did figure out what caused the problem. At one point after we had ceramic plate coated the exhaust system, we thought that might take care of the issue but sure enough once the car heated up it would refuse to shift from fourth to third or to any gear then after it sat and cool off everything would work fine. At the end it got to a point where the transmission would not shift at all hot or cold.

The only thing left for us to do was to pull the transmission and clutch then tear into both. However, given the fact that the four-speed at 70 miles an hour was turning 3300 RPMs I decided since we were going to have to pull them; we might as well replace the transmission with a five speed and replace the clutch with a hydraulic clutch. Since then the car has performed very well without any additional shifting issues.

Let me know if you hear anything concerning reimbursement to me from SAI.

Thanks,

George

The SEC regulators, attorneys, auditors and reporting requirements are very expensive.

To trade on stock exchanges, with public shareholders, is very expensive in legal and accounting bills. 10-K and 10-Q forms are required for public companies.

Public companies can still be shady like Enron, et al.

There are very large privately-held companies like Edelbrock. It went public and eventually returned to private ownership.

This is about all a retired old CPA can type on an iPhone without getting a smart guy to help out.

Ahhhhhh, thank you. I appreciate the "Accounting 101" meets "SEC Regulations" lesson. Might as well throw a few FASB's at me too while you're at it.

My point was: small is relative.

To add. There are such investments in the stock market known as Micro Caps.

Sure, everything is relative. Sounds like you speak the lingo with FASB, GAAP, GAAS, SEC, NASDAQ and, of course, the IRS. They took care of Al Capone when FBI could not.

Best wishes from the frozen South!

Both Mark Twain and Shakespeare had their opinions on lawyers and accountants. Not knocking either, as I tend to find myself needing both much too often than I care to these days....

To the one poster that asked that $49K is current dealer price. That shipped sailed 2 price increases ago and 3 years. price went up, dealer discount stayed the same. We are bound by contract that we have to sell the cars at MSRP Period 13 Cobras

Well, for posterity sake, and so folks don't have to click on the link to your website, the MSRP for fiberglass CSX roller's is $79,995 and aluminum CSX roller's is $139,995.

OK, so who owns the Shelby stock now that ol' Shel has headed to his great reward? And for that matter, did he actually own the controlling interest, or was/is it someone else?

Interesting. Did the stock go up, or down, when he died? Has anybody made any overtures that they would like to pick up the shares, or is there just not that much interest in it all?

According to Wikipedia, CSBI is stock symbol and it is listed on NASDAQ.
National Associated Securities Dealers Automatic Quotations as if anybody would ever use that term.

I will do a little digging tomorrow and see what I can unearth.

Amazing what you can do from a sickbed with an iPhone.

Best wishes and if you guys find out any more, please post it.

Thanks!

Russell

Well, since you're under the weather, I looked it up for you. Remember, Carroll died in May.
