No, no, no, no, no. The Cammer would go into the Kirkham. The ERA would get the POS 482 that I currently own.

Nobody that built engines that had to warranty them, used them.

Do I remember right that they were little two-piece jobs that were more expensive, supposedly reduced blow-by, but for some reason that I can't remember, resulted in gobs of oil being eaten up. The explanation was unusual, I remember that, but I don't remember what it actually was.

Not two-piece, but the ends were made to overlap. I had them in one of my engines, and burned a quart of oil every 80-90 miles, but the car never smoked. Had to change plugs everytime I put oil in. Needless to say only used that engine one season.

Thanks, Jack. It's a shame they found their way in to that engine in the first place.
