I'm thinking about buying a set of corner scales. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/pro-67650 Anybody have any experience with these?

Proform is cheap chinese copies of quality American products. I wouldn't buy anything with the Proform name on it. It's cheap for a reason.

I just called them. They are made in Taiwan and carry a 30 day warranty. I'll keep looking.

Last I heard, Spruce Aircraft still sells Ruggles Scales. They advertise them in a group of three. But if you call them they'll send them out in a group of 4.

Make friends with your local airport guys, they will likely rent or let you borrow a set for free.
Most pilots are really cool and love cobras.

After having our car done and being totally amazed at the difference also considering road racing looked for scales and found them. After a lot of consideration and the times they would get used chose to not buy them.Needed stickier tires the BFG's look nice but have caught me off guard one too many times.

FYI .. just got off the phone with Spruce Aircraft Supply and am getting a quote on some scales from them . Their scale guy recommended one scale , with the car leveled while on the scale . Sounds complicated and a pita , but one scale will be about $500 to $600 . Hope he sends specs and more details .

I'll give them a call. I couldn't find them on their web site. You don't happen to have a direct link ??

John ....
You won`t find the scales on their site . They want you to call their scale guy and discuss what you want . Their number is 1 - 800-526-0070 .
Just got the quote and a picture of the scale . $600 ....I`ll try to post the picture this weekend .
Didn`t realize it , but knowing weight and it`s location on a plane is pretty important ..... makes sense , I had just never thought about it .

I really doubt that you could do an effective job with only one scale. Your figures will be constantly moving every time you lift a different wheel onto the scale. I went to a local race setup specialist and with my weight in the driver's seat and a half tank of fuel, we were able to get within 1lb cross weight. The difference in car behaviour is remarkable.

Where are you looking at the Longacre scales? For a few bucks more they may be a better choice. The others only have a 30 day warranty. Not good enough for that sized an investment.
Found them. Now just need to sort through all the different models.
