What the heck, I'll play:

Fake aluminum engine compartment (well, it's real aluminum but it covers fiberglass), and one that I always chuckled at myself for doing - a genuine Lucas washer bottle, but not the "correct" one.

Another sign of insanity - genuine Lucas tail lights, but the wrong ones

Speaking of fake aluminum - no, no, no... that doesn't count because you used the real stuff.

Here's how a real schlub does it... I painted the inside of my FFR fiberglass body with Eastwood Aluma-Blast paint after sanding it smooth, knocking some dimples in it with a small angle grinder to give the appearance of being hammered, then sealing it. This is the inside of one of the quarter panel areas after hours of dry-brushing to give the effect of mill finish aluminum panel.

Now if that ain't fake and bush-league, I don't know what is:

I will take your fake on the inside aluminum and do the whole car outside fake aluminium. Aluminium poweder mixed with resin and scothbrited just like a real arruminium one....cant tell it from a kirkham at 100 yards...throw in the fake vinyl stripes, wheel spinners, bonnet rivets and a Chevy LS.....And still get asked if its real every day!

I would say you have CCRsAC beat as long as you keep moving. Your fakey-doo is made to parade up & down main street but don't stop. Pop the hood and the chevy will "rat" you out every time, well done regardless

Now that is a work of counterfeit art! We have a new master! Long live the fake aluminum body!

C'mon, guys, this has to be just the tip of the iceberg of the creativity you all have out there. I mean, anyone can buy a factory-fresh car (apologies to the those that have - no offense intended), but only pure loons like us will go to these lengths. Just imagine the thousands of hours of thought that goes in before any of these ideas ever see the light of day - not counting the time to make them possible.

Keep 'em coming!!!!!

amen, as this is your thread it might help if you established a "point system" for the quality of fakery? Highest point score wins, points for -
  • faux motor
  • engine bay trickery
  • false body components
  • misleading paint
  • counterfeit wheels
  • dummy cockpit stuff*

Like a hand brake that doesn't work, or this for your 5-speed TKO ...

Sigh... am I really that predictable? With a non-functioning reverse lockout, even.

Okay, everyone... you heard the man - let's tally up the points on our cars. To make things easy, let's call it ten points for any car that started as something that is not in the SAAC registry, then add one point for each custom (i.e., not in the build manual) touch that you added.

Whoever has the most points will be crowned the owner of the most hideous piece of Tupperware around and will win the admiration of all the rest of us reprobates.

Boy, oh boy, is this ever gonna get interesting!

... And I just noticed that this beauty is right-hand drive, too!!! I guess that makes sense now that I looked at your location. Oh the attention that would garner here in the states compared to a run-of-the-mill continuation car (although those are nice, too... for store-bought).
