Nice paint, donor gauges, personally a $25,000-$26,000 car tops..........Sorry, I find the bidding suspect if it is in the 30's and suggest you walk away quietly so as to not get suckered in to it as it appears to top two or three bidders have by the high HP claims of the used car dealer who is selling it.

I think you are dead on Bill - I was trying to be nice and discrete in my reply. Apparently someone thinks it's worth $34k to bid that on it. I would not have.

I've owned 17 FFR roadsters to date, brokered another 30+, I follow that market very closely, and in this case, I'm thinking either there is some nefarious bidding activity going on, or someone read the claim of 500+HP , and is getting snookered by the selling dealership. Either way, the car is not worth anywhere near what the current high bid is, and for the seller to expect 38K is leading me down the path of something smelling quite fishy with the bidding. I've said what was on my mind, I never play favorites, and I'll continue to call it like it is, hopefully to not only educate a prospective buyer, but to keep a fellow enthusiast from getting screwed in the process.

I think that Midstates is over priced also to put it mildly. Motor and Supercharger rebuilt? Really. Hmmm. Driven by a little ol' lady from Pasadena.
The appraisal is a joke on many levels. No need to get into though but it is laughable.

I find it hard to believe that Kopec gave that appraisal. Since when is SAAC an authority on replica Cobras?

Yeah I was looking on that Vegas seller and wondering the same thing. Probably didn't see the car in person and it's basically comparing sales of like vehicles.
Checked out the site and didn't see anything special. There was a Lister Vette and what I found funny were all the custom bikes and cars coming through Vegas (Pawn Stars & Kounts Kustoms). Ozzy Osbourne's custom bike with 20 miles which he never road if you know Ozzy. That was my laugh of the day.
