Only experience I've had is to ride along in a Tesla Roadster and it was a damn nice experience other than being a bit tight for yours truly. Several years ago, during one of PCH drives for the Western States Bash group, a few of us came across one as he headed south out of Half Moon Bay. Seemed to do just fine on the moderately curving road and didn't dwaddle taking off from a stop. Perked my interest, so I begged a ride from a gent that brought one to our local car show. You don't notice the difference in quiet much in an open car...just wind rushing at speed as in anything quieter than a Cobra. I guess if I lived in London or NYC, it makes sense....just need a couple of more generations of battery technology to get the weight down.

I wish someone would design a cool looking body shape.
For us commuter peeps, our electric cars look like eggshells. |

Have you driven a Tesla? You should test drive one. But watch out for cops. The damn things are fast, and handel like it is on rails. The lack of sound is un-nerving. |
