Actually...many, many miles in them in the Sierra. These aren't the panzyassed athletic shoe type hikers they sell today...old heavy full thick leather, screwed in soles, steel shanked, etc. for reaching the high Sierra camps and Evolution Valley lakes for goldens.

Function and performance over creature comforts.

Like a Cobra, if you will.
