Bobbycobra (member here) organizes a run every year from LI to Columbus Circle in Manhattan on Columbus Day weekend. We hit the Midtown Tunnel at around 7am. Usually around 20+ Cobra's-Ford GT's-GT-40s's running through the tunnel at the same time. I have video posted of it. Just driving all these cars through the streets of Manhattan at 7 am in a sight(and sound) to see.

so where is the blue Cobra from the Gumball movie?
I saw this youtube clip claiming the blue car is from the movie but the movie car did not have a roll bar or quick jacks.

There were two original 427 Cobra's used in the movie, CSX3243 and CSX3255, plus a replica. Neither of the original's were ever "lost".

The car in the video is CSX3243 which is one of the movie cars. Its new owner brings it out to all kinds of motoring events in California.
If you watch The Gumball Rally again, you'll see the holes in the rear deck where the roll bar would go; it was removed for filming. Swapping quick jacks for overriders is a snap.
As LMH said, neither car was ever "lost" nor are they "barn finds."

Nothing wrong with BFGs - in the snow! :-)

Ho-Lee crap.
I thought that blowout (topic) might have just been a story.
A blowout like that? You'd think a major tire manufacturer would have better Q control than that.
How fast were you going?

Hell back in 1971 I was helping to mount some BFG TAs on sunburst wheels for CSX3327 and one of the rears blew the sidewall off at 30-40 PSI while seating the bead! Made one heckava noise! It was fresh shorts time.........

MarkIV,
I'll bet. And probably not the forst time.
The inside of Sunbursts are not tapered like new wheels.
Phil Schmidt has a few stories similar to your about Sunbursts.

On the topic of Gumball and 'lost'...
Just this weekend I drove one of my standard routes over the Vincent Thomas bridge in Long Beach/San Pedro.
I'm coming down the 710 and can't find the connector to the bridge(s) - due to construction. I continue on, right down the same thoroughfare that leads to the Queen Mary, just like in the movie, all by myself (there isn't a whole lot of by myself in LA). The General Parking entrance was closed, so I had to find my way out. No Linda Vaughn, either. So I blasted by a few of the un-smogged harbor bombers (port semis) and headed back home.

I was running about 60mph and felt a vibration and was down to 45 when it got bad. Ordered tires from Roger Kraus the next day. I have to disclose that those BFG tires have seen the north side of 145mph at least once a few years before it let loose when I was dumber. These were replaced a while ago.
