Great build, you cannot go wrong with ERA. And the Guardsman blue paint is always nice on the 427 Cobra...good luck, you should have a lifetime of pleasure with this car.

I think he built it faster than ERA built mine.

Well - that was entirely too uneventful. Turn the key and it runs. Someday you are going to feel short-changed of the classic first start up turmoil of the distributor 180 degrees out or timed on the wrong cylinder (timed it like a Chevy) or plub wires crossed or . . .
Sounds nice - congratulations.

The only problems I had were a fuel leak and a small water leak in the expansion tank elbow, which required draining cooling system to remove the tank. Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. Now it's on to insurance and registration.

The car is on the road with a temp plate, I put 45 miles on it running around getting inspection and certified weight. Its 75 with clear sky's in north Texas today so great day to drive. Next stop DMV next week for title and plates.
Insurance - done
30 day temp plate - done
ASE inspection - done (Firestone, 7752 Denton Hwy $9.99)
Certified weight cert - done (2520lb w/18 gal fuel)
DMV - next week

Just a couple days shy of 6 1/2 months from dolly wheels to drivable - pretty smooth build. Enjoy!

After 45 min at the DMV it's officially registered and titled. Now just have to wait for my custom vehicle plates and title to come in the mail.

The car is now on the road, the title and plates came in this week. Today I took it and had the alignment, ride height and corner weights done. I put about 70 miles on it running around and all seems to be good.

You're building the car I want to build exactly as I want to build it! It looks fantastic - congrats!
I've got family in Keller. I'll keep an eye out during my next visit.
