Cobra Make, Engine: Backdraft Racing 427

Just took delivery

Of my new Backdraft Racing 427 Cobra. I have had several people ask me about the hooks on the front and back. I have always thought they were for tie down. Someone told me they were for jacking up the car. Can anyone direct me to the history of the hooks, I can't find anything searching for it. Thank you.
