OK, here's an obvious question.
Mr. Nobody, do you have any affiliation with the owners, suppliers, subcontractors and/or employees of Alloycars?
|
I see that you at least assuming their existence. The answer is NO.
But after what I have seen I will help FFR owners like me to get what they want. And if they are scammers, why are they accepting my payment after the body is done???

I guess I'll reserve judgement until the forum members who have more than 3 posts to report their findings.

Can I ask you why I have to give my personal information to you? Pictures will be posted as soon I have. But I have seen about your inflammatory posts here. In my world those guys like you are called "Trolls", never giving up.
Mister, I think you are going to loose your face very soon.
And guys like you made me believe that I cant have an aluminum body for my car, so please understand that you are not my favorite club member here.
Again, they are real whatever you post.

I never stated that they didn't exist. And you reading comprehension skills have me concerned. I said that they used photos of other Cobras that are not theirs to sell their product.
Are you active on the FFR forum? I'd personally make sure that I wouldn't give them payment until thebody is either picked up or delivered.
What was the cost for the aluminum body?

Jeff,
what was the time frame they were quoting to get you an Aluminum body for your FFR? I'd like to ask at what price too, but I was told it's rude to ask people what things cost
If you read back on the other posts, I don't think anyone here didn't think they were a "real" company. Many however were questioning what they were claiming as their work
|
Joe, rude? Why? Time frame is five weeks after delivery of my car. Price including installation is U$16K. Payment after conclusion. That's fair or not?

I asked so you could potentially sell your painted FFR body and recoupe 5-8K of your aluminum body venture. However, if you do not want to let me know what the FFR chassis number is so we can see if the body will fit the same or not same chassis range, that too is fine. But when someone asks a simple question and cannot get a simple answer in response, then everyone sits back and wonders what they are hiding, and why, for if they were on the up and up, they would certainly have no trouble responding in an open and honest manner.
As for calling names, you'll find that in any of my posts with alloy cars threads, all I was doing was fact checking, and it was Ingo/Tom who sunk low enough to call everyone names. But as they say, it's your money, you are free to do what you like with it.

I hope all works out and this is a great success. Many folks would be happy with an alloy FFR. They are a great company.

Yes, I love my car and it will be my pride and joy with an aluminum body. I will post pictures while in progress. I am thinking to take their offer to switch to a MKIV chassis as I can use all my accessories. I have to gather more information to see if suspension, brake and steering parts are compatible.

You may want to clue them in on one little issue. Their show car from this weekend is in fact a MKII, not a MKIII. You may or may not have concern when they aren't familiar enough with the car to understand which series chassis they are working with.
|
Excuse me SIR, I have a MKIII and what I have seen was a MKIII as well. This confirms that you don't know what you are talking about. Are you one of those "Trolls" inhibiting FFR users like me buying those aluminum kits?
But a "Troll" doesn't lie....cameras do.

Actually I never posted anything. I bought my MKIII eight years ago and I am not a Cobra specialist, just enjoying it. I dont know whats about pricing for your car. You should call them.
Payment: After conclusion. At least in my case.

Hmmm. I also had to explain that I own a Kirkham (aluminum body) to the person who posted for Alloycars. I guess the polished aluminum body is difficult to notice in the picture by my CC name "RodKnock."
OK, I'll try again. How much is an aluminum body for an FFR?

I'd like to see a picture of your car as it is today. Then post a picture of your car after it gets the aluminum body.

You have had it for several years, so can you just provide the chassis number?
|
Taking his posts at face value (no reason not to at this point), I have no reason to not believe Mr. Nobody based on his perception...pictures go a long way. Vists from other members may provide further information.
Back off a bit guys...he's not responding in an argumentative fashion, so no reason for you folks to do so.
