I'm curious to know what the cost is for an aluminum Cobra body? If you would like to keep that info a secret, then I understand. |
I hear JAMO loud and clear..but can't you just post a pic of your current FFR along with the chassis number just so folks can see what you are about to do? This is a complicated process and there actually maybe folks here that can help.

Pictures of your project and purchase agreement/agreement with Alloycars would be very helpful.
Pictures and proof first. Talk later. |

Firstly, as per your own posts, you have limited knowledge of the differences between the different factory five chassis and the resulting potential for parts interchangeability issues. As a guy named Messer, I'm thinking that I'm seeing aggressiveness common to people of a certain region I know.;) For now, I'll ignore your insult and pretend you were just asking. Here is a picture of the car in question at the show today. http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/...psnnqg1uua.jpg That sir is a MKII driver foot box and steering assembly. Here is another shot from the show. Take note of the steering rack location. I'm sure you see the issue. I won't say due to not knowing what I'm talking about.:JEKYLHYDE http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/...psfwjiy4j2.jpg Here is a picture of the a car from alloycars web site. The bar on the outside of the driver's foot box is different on a MKIII. http://photos.imageevent.com/germanp...111_081233.jpg The pictures I have posted are examples of why there are credibility issues with some of the claims being made by alloycars and now you. So now that I have nicely substantiated my claim that the car at the show today is in fact a MKII, how about you go and take a picture of your MKIII that you claim to own and show me that I'm wrong. EDIT: I also want to point out the same air cleaner, expansion tank, and plug wires on the motor for show pics and the alloycars pic. |
Without any further product info from MrNobody or questions from CC members here interested in the same alloy body conversion project, then IMO, I think this thread has run its course.
Edit: Oops spoke to quickly. :) |

Now I'm curious what other FFR owners think of the price. Does that sound cheap, expensive or somewhere in the middle? To me, that sounds affordable. |

My car=MKIII NEW Body=MKIV. But I appreciate your advise. Jeff |
Time for a few of you to man up with an apology to Alloycars.
. |
A question on my behalf.
Can I use my previous parts and accessories for the newer MKIV chassis? Jeff |
16k sounds like a great price!!!!
Is the new MK4 frame with IRS included in this deal? How long would it take to move all the accessories from my finished MKII into the new frame? |

I recommend anyone with questions about an Alloycar conversion address them directly to Alloycars (Ingo Poth) @ info@alloycars.com
He would be glad to assist with any conversion ideas you may have and has the knowledge to know what is involved. . |
