"Henry the Deuce"?...it was "Hank the Deuce" and "GT50"?

I have heard the rumors over the years that he had them stashed somewhere in Torrance and even remember seeing a picture someone had showing the chassis all stacked up in a dark warehouse.
Evan (REAL1) should be extatic!

I am ready to offer a premium for each chassis, scrap them under the supervision of SGS or Saybolt that the story of the remaining S/C chassis can finally rest in piece ;-)

But before I take delivery I will undertake a dating of the used steel via the C14 method.

Everybody get out your SAAC Registries and look up "Completion", now open your books and turn to page 699...

Is that in the Bible or the hymnal? Let us pray or sing?

Sigh.. Don't they learn.

Carroll decided to deep six the "Completion program" until he was deep sixed? I guess at least he was smart enough to try this again when he wasn't around anymore.

Has anyone called the number in the article to see if they are in fact representing these chassis as "original" 1965 chassis that have been in storage for 50 years?

Agreed. Be aware of the guy on the corner selling snake oil, even if he is dead!
Should be vetted for sure. I guess maybe Ned could put some light on this.

PS: What were they the first time around 1/2 a million, so I guess 7 figures is not that far off.

They even come with a MSO signed by a dead guy. Somewhere (Heaven or Hell depending on your opinion) the old bastard is laughing his ass off that people are still falling for this shell game.

Yep, the SAAC Registrys explanation is an interesting read. It reported that one of the reasons the "Completion" Cobras failed was because at some point the cost of a real S/C dropped lower than the cost to build the new Cobras?!

Assuming this article were true, these competition/completion Cobras still cannot be sold in CA as completed cars, unless they've learned from prior mistakes and will create some shill/shell companies.

A "home-made, specially constructed, or kit vehicle" is a vehicle that is built for private use, not for resale, and is not constructed by a licensed manufacturer or remanufacturer. These vehicles may be built from a kit, new or used parts, a combination of new and used parts, or a vehicle reported for dismantling (junked) that, when reconstructed, does not resemble the original make of the vehicle that was dismantled.

And I'm sure they'll hire some minimum wage worker to stand in line on January 4, 2016 to get as many Certificate of Sequences as they need for CA buyers?

The press release specifically says they are not street legal cars being sold as race cars only.

Ya, ya. Blah, blah, blah. I saw that. You can believe whatever you read. But I don't believe it. The press release states as such, but I call BS.

I'll bet not one car will be raced. And then, the owners will not be able to register them to drive on the street? After spending how much?

Puh-leeze. I don't believe it.

Of course we all want to believe it, but let's all see who confirms this story. Consider the source. Where are pics and details of such an "important" car?
What was it that PT Barnum said?
