Yep, no doubt about it. That clearly beats just writing a check for one (real or fake).

G-Pete: Thanks my friend.
Your car is a work of art. It is one of the nicest Cobras I have seen. Truly impressive.

Cant agree with you more on G-Petes thread (probably my favourite of all time), but back to the OP for a sec.........
1800+ words to tell us your upset because someone called your car a nasty name?
Now Ive been a member for a while and I cant quite remember the sign up process, but I seem to recall you have to be of a certain age to join. Clearly they have accidentally let a 6 year old girl in here. Don't pull her pig-tales guys or she might really have a big tanty.

Seems to me within this thread, that Evan is making a real effort to tone it down and not be offensive. I think it's awesome and we shouldn't try to bait him, myself included.
At least, that's what I see. He owns one of the most beautiful cars on here and I would not like to see him earn a perma-ban. Am I way off here?

Yep! I separate the car from the man. Love the car. Not so much the owner.
When you meet someone with this type of personality, you have two choices, engage or ignore. His type can't stand to be ignored, thus the constant confrontation. Knowing this, he's so easy to provoke.

Thanks Larry. For better or worse I am definitely a type A personality. From my vantage I always refrain from being sharp and pointed unless provoked. Usually it takes quite a bit of prodding through the cage to have me strike back but there are some guys here know how to get it done.
Larry you are from what I can tell a good guy and a gentleman. We have our disagreements but we always keep it civil. I have respect for your knowledge. You're one of the few guys I respect around here. Happy holidays to you and yours

Thanks Evan, I appreciate that! I think we are all type A's on here and it takes a certain kind of person to own cars like these. We are bound to clash now and then! Keep up the good work!

Spend less time counting words and more time actually reading what's written. No surprise the troll liked it. Typical.

I guess it boils down to this:
Most of us have some form of a Cobra, and if you do you are damn proud of it and spent your life getting to where you could have it. You are already a rare breed.
But, I think some folks that get to that crowning moment probably get tired of being told that they "just have a replica". They already know this, but sometimes seems to come across as a "rub". Many guys I have met have the most beautiful replicas or tributes or whatever that I have ever seen. Hell, mine is a replica!
I propose that we always keep everyone in mind as we talk "purity" and whatnot...
My 2c and go ahead and burn me.

Berni: you are too modest and partially correct.

Evan...you came back taking shots at me, but I left it up even though you went on to feed your ego by whining about folks making fun about you (because you set yourself up for it). Your style has always been to blame others for making fun of you when you yourself start it. Even in this thread, you're making yourself the issue and attacking what others have said. This place simply isn't big enough for your ego.
Now, as I specifically said when I took the action (and which was clear to anyone following the threads)...you were suspended for failing to follow specific directions...creating new threads when I specifically said not to, and then carrying on with your damn crap onto another thread (Ned's), which truly was in bad taste...and which finally tipped it.
You've been suspended countless times over the years, by both Ron and me...and always for the same damn crap...and then you come on whining that we're not treating you fairly despite all the warnings and leeway we've given you.
You wanted to take shots at me...fine, I left them up for all to see. I could care less, and I'm certainly not going to whine about it. But you then went after others and referred to their cars as being plastic, etc. in a derogatory manner...all because you say Shelby owners and their cars are attacked. Actually, no other modern era Cobra owners or their cars have been attacked or have even been the subject of comment...just you and only in threads you start or you turn to be about you. I've spent more damn time putting out fires that you start than anything else I've done here...not going to deal with it anymore.
Now, because you didn't get the message (again) when I suspended you (yet again), and gave you a final warning...that's it. You don't like this place, you don't like how other folks here treat you, and you don't like the way SAAC and the Registry are run. Well hell, sounds like you don't like a damn thing about the hobby. Cool...your choice. Start your own personal blog somewhere.
Happy Thanksgiving.
