I say buy the one you like the most. After its all said and done you are the one who has to drive it so who cares. I considered BDR, FFR and Superformance. I initially liked the BDR but the more I looked at it I saw it in a different way. I think the FFR is a great car but I wasn't about to jump off into building a car and rarely see a FFR that I really like. At the end of the day I really liked the SPF and happened to find one locally.

I remember it well. But I never said it and you're the one who brought it up again. I don't even know what your post means.

Yes, so it would seem. I chased down a few of his last posts and Jamo's subsequent post of admonishment and final banning.
When an individual has difficulty playing with others, compounded by being a slow learner, it's easy to see how they get banned.

If refering to me - at 64, I do occassionally have some mindless drivel (and dribble), but it's hardly constant. My post count simply isn't that high.

There is a forum where you can have all you can handle of that. If you don't already know about it, ask around and I'm sure one of the moderators can direct you.

Nope. I wouldn't want to join any forum that would have someone like me as a member.

Can we get this thread back on topic? Which Cobra replica is best?
Personally, I think the Corvette does a wonderful job of achieving the desired Cobra effect in a nice comfortable package, like heated seats, A/C, nice sound system, air bags, cup holders, great gas mileage, reduced greenhouse emissions, no registration hassles, etc.
That's what I think the OP needs.

I'm not sure what the OP's real question is. In another topic he claims he's building a GR-1 replica, but asking here about Cobras. Maybe the question isn't what Cobra to build, but what choices are available for the underneath parts of the GR1?
He's gone silent for now but maybe he'll be back.

Yep. I agree. That's why my comments are tongue-in-cheek.
It's like he left us with a POS on the floor, with the broad subject of "Which Cobra do people like best?" and we have to clean it up for him (or her, but more likely a him).
I like rodneym's Cobra best, until he painted it black.

My wild guess is that the OP wants to know what is most appealing in a Cobra replica so he can use that in the GR1 replica business he wants to build. Reading that he'll likely have to pay a license fee to Ford (if he can even get one), and that the most poplular Cobra replica is the least expensive one may have convinced him to slow down and think twice about this business model. ... If he wants to study a business model based on a very expensive replica that didn't turn out well, he could look at the BTM Cheetah Continuation effort.

The best Cobra isn't necessarily the one generating the most volume. Consider McDonald's, with "billions and billions" served, versus a steak at Carnevino.
That being said, what Cobra does everyone like best?
Actual vintage Cobras get the highest regard.
After that, it's a downward progression as you deviate from the original Cobra looks and specifications. It's all been said before, but as a few examples Aluminum wins over Fiberglass; a vintage 427 side-oiler or 428PI will win over a stroked 351W (or a 427 Chevy...).

Yes, actual vintage Cobras do, but after that, it really doesn't matter. Go to any car show and 99% of the people have no clue what it is no matter what it looks like. So who are you actually building/buying the car for? That is the question that needs answered before anything.

I wanted the car for myself BUT wanted it to somewhat look like the original including the interior.
