Sure looks like it, dam that's a nice looking car. Love the stance, looks like it has been well cared for.
Best of luck with the sale, someone is going to get a great ride.:3DSMILE: |
The local doctor "Howard" sold the car as he is having hip surgery and can no longer enjoy the car. Yes he took great care of the car with having only put 700 miles on it.
|
i don't want to needle anybody with my newbie repetition...
i think the "doctor's"-car is a nice one, there is another black 289 slabside csx 8000 at hillbanks for sale with a three times higher price both fiberglass cars... is a csx8000 a three times more worth? |
When it says Shelby it guess it says it all.

There is no wrong choice, the best car is the one you want and can buy. |

....but joking apart: at the moment there are 4 different types of rebuildings for sale: era: 65' spf: 90' csx: 190' (50th; glass) csx: 280' (50th; alu)... that would be my preferred choice..:) for me the most relevant aspect of originality would be the aluminium-body and isn't it subordinate if there is a leaf spring or a coil spring when you have a plastic body ? so i think for me would be the choice: era or csx alu, that is a difference, (especially in the price..) ...but at the end its all no csx 2000 :o so why not the era? |
The ERA is outstanding for sure! It all boils down to what is important to the buyer. Aluminum body just add to the cost over a fiberglass body with similar replication underneath.

Why go transverse leaf vs. other? Well some buyers want the driving experience to replicate the original car as ell as the appearance. Yes, no one save Shelby and Kirkham have alloy bodies so that is a give away to originality but the cost bump will price many out of the market. |
It's already been stated.
Authentic replication just costs more. In general the closer a car becomes to that of the 60's the more it costs. (Especially for the buyer) Same in both 427 land and 289 land. Kinda beating a dead horse at this point. For 65k the ERA is awesome. For double plus a CSX is awesome. If cost is a factor build a FFR FIA car. Will be less and a nice example. Why does a suit cost more at JA Banks versus Sears? It's nicer that's why...... |

i am thinking about the -best investment/nicest car- relationship :) |
A buggy car does drive differently than a coil over car. Indeed! :p
Call David Kirkham. Ask him for original style buggy car for the cost of a coil or even a KMS buggy car. Replicas are like the rest of the world. A CSX car will always be more and so on efc. Kinda like a Toyota Camry will not exceed the cost of a M3 any time soon. Buy what you can afford and then enjoy it. Investment buy 2000 car. They stopped making them. |

A fake is a fake, no matter what name is on it or numbers you pay for it. Unless it's a CSX 2000 or 3000 series car, it's a fake. Who are you kidding when you buy a 'Shelby' fake?
