Also, post the full CCX VIN and I'll check to see if I have it in my database.
The rest of what you have posted is false information, as Ford had nothing to do with Contemporary and vice versa.
Finally, are you sure the body is aluminum, and you are not just looking at the aluminum panels in the trunk and engine compartment?
Have you actually laid hands on the car (IE: have you seen the car in person)?

the vin is ccx55363, i will have a look at the car next week and will take some photos of my own, and yes, sure that the whole body is aluminium (no paint)

There was a Kirkham two or three years ago that was being sold using a CCX "Contemporary Motorcar Co" dataplate, but the number you provided is not what was shown.

yes, that is the car !
too cheap for an original, too expensive for a recreation?
contemporary classic with kirkham body?
....
but seems well crafted and has a german historic title, quite important because no kms, superformance or shelby csx will get that title in germany nowadays

Not a CCX, not a CSX, but it is a nice Kirkham with a made up VIN number

What would possess someone with a fake Cobra to borrow the VIN number from another fake Cobra? And, frankly, one that isn't as nice to begin with?

KMS does make the Lemans type flares.
However so can an alloy guy as a retrofit.
Patrick, come on CCX is a nice car.... Might be because CCX makes exporting easier as they were mostly titled from 25+years ago.....

That is extremely risky behavior... and can easily cost someone their car.

I agree, just saying its a plausible reason.
Ned is correct that the claim should be enough to avoid this car.

I believe in the US, you get caught playing these games the car is seized and crushed. Maybe someone will correct me, but I know of one body shop guy that tried to cut a big one and was caught doctoring numbers on a Mustang.
The Sheriffs showed up one morning with a flatbed and a warrent and it was gone forever. Then he went to jail.

Depends where it was originally titled, if a CCX xxxxxx was already in the system, then when the clerk asks "oh, is it one of these", the response generally is "yes, yes it is".

Pics will help. The front, rear, sides, cockpit, engine compartment, chassis underside showing frame and suspension, and as mentioned the VIN tag.
