sure, you can ask whatever you want, (i was waiting for this comment )
but some points are making this car special;
- one of about 20 csx 7000 aluminium
- FIA-HTP papers (very hard to achieve for replicas)
- Goodwood-Invitation (that makes every car more worth in europe)
and btw, i think continuation car ist the better term for this kind of cars, like the cars mentioned in this thread: jaguar xkss, aston db4gt, ac cobra 260 legacy or the lister knobbly...

It's still a replica, made 50 years later, but it can be raced at Goodwood. Meh, Goodwood means nothing to me. We have the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca, it's just a week where they race cars around the track. And they have a few car shows, dinners with special guests and rallyes like the Concorso.
Is it worth more than your standard CSX7000, sure, but $200,000+ more? Nope. I assume the next Tom, Dick or Harry can get "papers" for their CSX7000.

i've been to laguna seca and monterey car week this year, that is indeed the most important car show in the world, but goodwood is the most important place for historic racing, and that is exactly the dna of our cars...

I'm not debating which event is more or less important, I really don't care.
But whether it's Goodwood or the Monterey Historics, it's just a committee of humans running it. And these humans have opinions, make decisions, put on their pants one leg at a time and brain-fart just like the rest of us humans. They're just people with cars with papers, they're not curing cancer, advancing research on Alzheimer's disease or even scoring a goal at Old Trafford.
I guess what I'm saying is that they can invite a replica of Herby The Love Bug to race Goodwood and it really doesn't affect my way of thinking.

I just wanted to be clear about my point. Just like you can ask any amount of money for your car that you want, you can also call a car anything you like, such as a "continuation." To me it's just semantics.
