Uber nifty video. The rear view camera, with proximity indicators, is extremely cool. Sounds like an evil bumble bee, but sure goes. Would have been interesting to see the tach. Sounds like lots of R's. Little torque, lotsa HP.

I have no doubt from a technical perspective that the TT V6 works exceptionally well, but man....what an uber disappointment is the auditory department. Seems like they've taken a chapter out of the F1 play book.

This was so unexciting (errr, boring might be a better word?) to watch that I turned the video off after less than a minute.

The sound of the cars really doesn't live up to what they are. But I sure wouldn't turn one down if I could afford it.

Well, its a light, high tech racing car with a small displacement, high-winding six cylinder engine which is exactly what it sounds like to me. It definitely does not sound like a lumpy-cammed, big inch low-rpm torquer V8 - which is exactly what it isn't.
What will be interesting is how the civilian versions perform in real world driving.

Ford is getting ready to fight the electric car invasion they will have to get 40+ MPG across the product line. A electric car just ran pikes peak in 11 and change.

Back in 1987-89 I knew the guy's working on the Nissan TT-V6 GTP car and it developed a lot of HP back then ..... more then they expected and was the fastest car in GTP at the time..and later they put in to a GTO car...... It was quite a motor and helped develope the motor that is in their GTR today....

Yup. I think the technology on the six-bangers is all the rage in the future. Just take a look at F1, Indycars etc. Kind of sad in a way, but look what they are doing with them!

I particularly hate how it sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders just off idle. Congrats, and I have no doubt it fills the needed check boxes as for as putting out a lot of power with a broad torque curve and small package, but sounds like it never passes 6K rpm. Great video with the sound off. Absolutely pitiful audio if you're not watching the screen.

I think they are pegging at way over 6k rpm. Maybe around 8,500 but not sure...

Did someone accidentally over-dub the video then? Because that thing sounded like it never got past 5000rpm.

I embrace new technology look what it has given us with engine management and suspension advancement. But like so many will never give up my roots an overcammed, carbed, fire breathing V8 torque monster. That sound gets my blood flowing and brings my senses to bear.

If you have access to a VR headset (like the Google Cardboard) try watching the video on it. It's like you are sitting in the car! Just move your head and look around. Quite amazing!!

Sad but true. Those 5K pound Tesla's in ludicrous mode are doing 0-60 mph in the high 2's. Can you imagine what will happen as technology improves and weight comes down.

Then there are self driving cars that will eventually become the norm.

In the meantime, turbo's rock, congrats to Ford on the win.

Default Another spoiler alert!

Another SPOILER ALERT regarding today's IMSA race in Canada. If you have it recorded and don't want to know the results, don't scroll down any further and don't read the bottom of this post.....

Ford GT takes #1 again today! 3 in a row!
They slugged it out again with BMW and Corvette. Briscoe / Westbrook in #67 brought it home, even with the BoP adjustments that IMSA put on them this time. Great job FORD!
