Just a question. Are the sites that you are being redirected to the same ones or do they change? Can you make up any pattern of the sites?

Ron

Ron

On my iPhone I use the chrome browser. The redirect either opens a new tab that I close or I get a pop up from chrome saying that it is trying to open an application on my phone, do I want to open the app or cancel. In that case I hit cancel. I assume the app that it wants to open is iTunes, but I always cancel.

The redirects that open a new page vary. They might have some sort of warning of about my phone being infected or they might say I need to get the Hulu app in order to view the content of the site I am on. Those are just two things that I recall seeing recently.

From the time I first reported until a week (maybe a few days more) or so ago it was the same place - a series of redirects that ended up at the "Play Store" trying to sell a virus removal tool. Then in the past short time it has changed to something else that changes from time to time. There is no pattern but I only look at the site maybe once per night and once the redirect has been dismissed it doesn't come back. At the beginning it was hard to get out of it, but now it brings up a new window that can be closed. (At least on Android Firefox).

Question:
Is anything being done about this problem or is Cobra Registry the new website of choice for all owners?
I mean really.... This is getting ridicules... at least tell us you are not planning on doing anything about the problem or that you are making some progress....something.......... anything.

I imagine this is trying to open the app store:

This just looks like a bug:

This redirect opened as a new tab:

Yep, that's the normal type hijack.

mrmustang 03-05-2017 01:23 PM

Snagged this today as I was logging in:

.........."Warning: file_get_contents(http://images.imagenetcom.com/hxml.p...lubcobra.com.x) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 522 Origin Connection Time-out in [path]\includes\functions.php(5723) : eval()'d code on line 21".........

Of course part of it is the system on it's way to a crash of epic proportions, but the rest?

redmt 03-05-2017 01:29 PM

My guess is it's collateral damage of the Russians trying to hack into the elections. It is either that or part of a conspiracy to hack into Trumps tax returns. That's gotta be it.

And a lot of these:

I am getting that on my home computer.

This site is becoming dangerous. Better have your anti-virus and firewall software up-to-date!

YerDugliness 03-05-2017 04:50 PM

I just got that on my iPhone, and I keep getting directed to some site that informs me that I must install Hulu to be able to read the forums.

This IS worrisome...I may be forced to stop participating on CC if anything unsavory happens to my various devices. It does not happen on any of the other forums at which I participate.

I got a new phone (Motorola Moto G4 Plus) last week so I thought I'd see what's happening. No hijack or re-direct. I'm on Android 7.0.

1ntCobra 03-06-2017 10:22 AM

I just got a redirect to the iTunes page to purchase Sugar Smash Book of Life.

Al G 03-06-2017 01:20 PM

I also got a new phone this weekend. Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 7.0. The first time I came to this site and clicked on new posts I got a redirect. Took me a few seconds longer than in the past to close the offending window as I wasn't familiar with the new operating system.

I guess the question of anyone working on this still has not been answered?

Oh yes it has. In. Are you haven't figured out the answer is noone. He has an unlisted address and is MIA. Don't expect anything soon if ever. Either the forum owners don't care or it is beyond their abilities

The GT40s forum just underwent an upgrade. It must have been quite costly, but a forum fundraising effort brought in enough to get a good start.

Perhaps the owner(s?) of this forum could mount some sort of fundraiser?

Before any fundraising happens we would be owed a cost of operation and revenue balance sheets for income from advertising.

Attempted to contact Brent his via email. Email was returned undelivered with fatal errors....
Hope the big guy is ok........

I'm out of here till this issue is resolved. I have too much Wiring Diagram information to risk a major loss of data. So if anyone needs a Wiring Diagram for a Superformance MKIII, MKII or Shelby CSX7000, 8000, 4000/6000 or the new Shelby Tribute Series 289's, or a GT40, or has an electrical issue you need help with, you know how/where to find me (see bottom of this post) or on Cobra Registry.
Somebody email me when this is resolved please.
Signing off........
Blas
