Anxiously awaiting update as to what is being done to eliminate this issue? If it continuous unchecked logging in will no longer be an option.

It never happens to me on the desktop computer, only on my iPhone.
Curious and curiouser!

The fact that desktop machines are immune was documented in the first few posts (if not my first post, I'm not going to look back now).
It would be interesting to know if WINDOWS MOBILE phones are affected though.
The reason is that the hack is attempting to sell virus removal tools specific to the mobile platforms...

People not logging in on portable devices will surely impact advertisers revenue with a lower "hit" count being recorded..... Perhaps that's not important?

FYI, 2-16-17, first time in a long time I have not been redirected!! Been using the same apple device (iPad) on this site many times a week with the same redirect problem. Touch a post or do a search and got slammed with a redirect in a new window.
Noticed right off the bat tonight, no redirects. Tried several areas, no redirects. I have not done anything different with the device to change user operations.
Hopefully the admins may have found something.
Cheers and thanks!

Oh, it still happens to me. The hijacks are getting more creative. No more trying to sell me a phony pay-for-virus-removal and on to other fackey-do crap. It's obvious that someone is actually actively controlling the other end. Reminds me of the STTNG episode where the wormhole was stable on one end but variable on the other.
Also, I think they may have gotten into the forum code. Instead of what I thought was an advertiser link "rolling on", now it seems to happen when I hit the "new posts" button. The good thing is it's easier to get rid of.
I recall the old Chicago song.
Does anyone really know what time it is?
Does anyone really care?

I haven't been redirected on my Ipad in a while. I think the last time it happened was a week or 2 ago. It is pretty random though. Sometimes it will happen 3 times a night, sometimes not for a long time like now.

It only happens on my iPad. Happened yesterday. Doesn't happen on my Android phone or desktop.

Login issues
I've been having issues with "too many redirects occurred", when logging in. It took four attempts to log in.

I find it disheartening that our concerns still appear to be falling on deaf ears. It would be nice to know that something is being done about this problem. Just some kind of regular update as to the progress (or lack of it) on this issue. It appears that nothing can be done from our side, except not frequent the site until the depth of the problem is understood. Appears to happen if you log in or don't log in.... Appears to happen on all devices except desktop computers and such.... For now that is.... who knows. Anyone disagree? In this case... No news is not Good News.

No disagreement here. All correct.
But this site has had problems for years. Outages have plagued this site a long time. It's the only site that I visit that has any issues.

Spoke too soon, being redirected again like a wildfire. This site still has a ton of great reading. Sad that someone thinks they can be more "special" by taking someone else's hard work.

Same here. Logged on an hour ago and it took me to another site.
Pathetic.
