Nice car. Reminds me of Evan's old CSX, but for the fiberglass body of course.
I remember the last fiberglass CSX selling for $115,000 plus $5,000 buyer's fee.

Beautiful car for sure. I love black and there is nothing prettier but fighting swirls is a royal pain in the arse!!! Although when you can do it, it's a hard color to beat!!!
I could be wrong but I believe this car was for sale at a dealership in Chicago last year.....consignment style. I think the asking price was around 150k but 125k was the price they would let it go for. I almost went to look at it until I settled on my current car.

I agree. Something about black. Several years ago, a CC member was selling his black fiberglass CSX with a SOHC engine and that car almost got me to sell the Kirkham. My favorite engine ever wasn't enough to overcome the "fatal flaw" from my perspective (i.e., not aluminum).
If I were a private seller on BaT, then the comments from the peanut gallery would probably drive me nuts.
BTW, I noticed our own Bill (MrMustang) is bidding. Go Bill!

My guess is 120k-126k once the auction ends. One of my concerns at the time I was looking was the "sorting out" with that few miles and the time it had "sat up" with no driving over the last 8 years. All overcomable but still a concern I personally had.

Would be a good car for Bill, he has been without a cobra since I bought his last one.

Yeah...it was listed with 306 miles when in Chicago last year but it was really 30.6 as they misread the tenths being part of the miles. The picture of the dash confirmed it.

Somebody better check the inboard sidewalls of the rear tires ! it appears that something is cutting into it !! Ref: under car pic.

You're correct about the tire. I put Avons on mine, they are not as "plump". They may want to make that change.

There are 3 fiberglass CSX's for sale on CobraCountry:
#4974 $120,000 (reduced)
#4803 $150,000
#4133 $135,000
All three have been for sale for some time. Interesting that there are no Kirkham's currently listed on CobraCountry. The last one I know of was 4pipes, which probably sold around its last and reduced asking price of $125,000.
I'd guess say $115,000-$120,000 plus buyer's fee again, but you never do know with a solid black car. They are very attractive to some, not so much to others who don't want the maintenance.

This is a sweet example, and I expect will sell at 110-120K (my guess). If I had room I'd even consider it if it were not for the black paint. Having owned two black Mustangs and equating the deep toned British Racing Green as the maintenance equivalent of black, I won't do another dark color again.

I think black looks amazing on either a 427 or 289 Cobra. I had a lot of fun with my black ERA and due to the size of the car (small), the paint maintenance was very manageable. My 2006 Shelby Hertz on the other hand.......
This car on BaT looks really nice, but I can only assume it's presently titled as a 2008, and it's a pity the seller doesn't have the details that can easily be found on one of the earlier listings via a link kindly provided above. Vinyl interior? No engine paperwork? No sorting/maintenance since new described? These statements/conclusions are from the present BaT listing/comments.
Those door pockets....are all the CSX6xxx cars like that? I would have to change that immediately.

I agree. No details does hurt the value a bit in my book as does "the oil drip" from the '64 top oiler 427. It's just me, but if you're paying the big bucks and getting a CSX (or Kirkham or ERA), then a top oiler 427 is a negative. If it were me, the top oiler would be "a throw away" engine (i.e., removed and sold ASAP). The CSX 4787 (blue/white) that sold in December had an NOS side oiler, according to the ad.
Also, the seller/dealer admits to driving around Chicago last December, probably because one of the comments references surface rust and scratches.
I don't think the seller/dealer is going to get their reserve, assuming there is one.

It's offered with a copy of the MSO, not the original. I don't see any license plates. And no mention of current title and registration. Could be a nightmare to register.
I wouldn't even look at a car without a clear title.

CSX 6012 on BaT
I also was interested in this car when it was listed by Bentley Gold Coast in Chicago. The interesting part was they listed the engine as a Shelby Built 427/468. Seems to have changed.....

Also, some buyers of CSX's will prefer a Toploader (see Bernica ), especially being paired with a vintage cast iron 427. This CSX being auctioned has a Tremec. And little things like the oil separator tank on the firewall appear to be missing.
If the seller doesn't have any receipts or the new buyer can't track them down, then registering that car will be one big headache for any CA buyer. Obviously, it's still a very beautiful car, but there's a few "knocks" that would lower any offer I would make, if I were in the market. And I'm not.

And with only 60 miles, it's been driven less than your Kirkham.
