5 light coats of regular black plasti-dip. This was an experiment. I am happy how it turned out.

I have a strong aversion to chrome rims on painted Hallibrand replicas.

Another color to consider is gray: As dark or as light as you think looks good with your paint.



Push comes to shove, "as cast" appeals to me, greatly.



Why not go for Dow 7?

Nothing but oil, easy.

John can do the Dow 7.
BTW that is not Dow above, it's also not a Cobra or Ford wheel. (Lambo)

I also like that look - but a black rattle can spray in the rear wheel well would have made all the difference from that angle.
