But yeah, price sure seems low for what it is. If I liked the color better, I might be tempted to pick up a second cobra...
I know that tread pattern anywhere. Also, if you blow up the pic, then you'll BFGoodrich Radial TA. Ad is wrong, unless seller changed the tires from the time that the pic was taken.

Cheer up!

A buyer gets a very nice running CSX for under $100,000. Color is a personal choice, Avons are $2,000, have Patrick repaint the wheels for the cost of some sandpaper and Krylon (or whatever brand you desire) and lower the suspension. No big deal. The TKO600 is top of the line for Cobras and the mystery 427 could be center oiler (or a sideoiler) and is still a wonderful vintage engine.

Or you can pay Shelby $110,000 for a roller and then add another $30,000 to $40,000 +/- to finish.

When others are selling for $115,000-$125,000, this is a nice deal. And there's always a little wiggle room. The ad doesn't say "firm."

sure, .... to build your own perfect car you can put 40 grands into that car, always cheaper than to finish a new csx roller...

I better write that down. A pearl of wisdom.

But the problem is that the car just looks funny. No getting around it. It just looks funny.

OK, how about we become part of the solution...
Let's help the seller sell his Cobra.
While taste is subjective, I believe we ALL can agree that "tradition" and/or "accuracy" will generally help sell a Cobra and for top dollar. Things can be done pretty cheap and with little effort.
I'll start:

1) Remove those side pipe shields...

Well, the same could be said about your car too (beige, two roll bars, etc.).

A buyer will want to make changes and lowering the ride height in the big scheme of things isn't that difficult to do. Or maybe the producers of the next Fast & Furious sequel will want a Cobra with "long suspension travel."

There really isn't a pic of the car at ground level, so the photo angle makes it tough to see how high the suspension is.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.
That must have been hard.

Default CSX for sale

There is a CSX4764 on this site in the Cobras For Sale. It is mine for 98K. I have always said " If You Do Not Drive It Sell It " and I just do not drive much anymore. I could put it up for more but I want someone to love it as much as I do and drive it as much as I did. Truly interested parties only please.

That's the funniest, yet most accurate, comment I've heard for some time!

Cheers,

Just for comparison sake, here's an aluminum CSX4000 asking $179,500 that listed about 5-6 weeks ago in July. No affiliation. But I do accept referral fees.

CSX4158 alloy For Sale

The new CSX roller pricing difference, between alloy and fiberglass, is about $50,000-$60,000.
