Default CSX4798 on Cobra Country for $98,500

No affiliation, but just seems like a pretty darn good deal for a fiberglass CSX, especially since Patrick keeps yammering on about how new ERA's are $100,000 to build.

Not a traditional color, but not beige either.

There have been a few (2-3) fiberglass CSX's sold on BaT between $115,000-$125,000 (blues and blacks in color), so if you've been looking for one, well, here it is.

No, I can live with that... it's something else. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm sure others will.

The only items that appear a bit different to me are the sidepipe cover, what appears to be a mounting bracket for a pad on the roll bar and no windshield wipers.

For me, other than color, which I don't like, the BFG TA's have to replaced immediately and the wheels are WAY too shiny for me.

But fiberglass CSX rollers have got to be around $105,000-$110,000 now.

But I'm no expert.

Yes; yes she is. It's almost like the pics of pure rollers that have no engine or trans in them. Not that bad, but you're pointing in the right direction....

The angle of the pic with the visor bisecting the roll bar also creates a strange effect.

...and the shift lever looks way too long.

Ad says the tires are Goodyear Eagle GT II's, not BFGs.

But yeah, price sure seems low for what it is. If I liked the color better, I might be tempted to pick up a second cobra...

only good price when taking the car as it is,

too high, too shiny, wrong color, wrong stripes, wrong tires, wrong sidepipe, wrong engine (maybe) and wrong trans (maybe) > $$$$$

Cheer up!

A buyer gets a very nice running CSX for under $100,000. Color is a personal choice, Avons are $2,000, have Patrick repaint the wheels for the cost of some sandpaper and Krylon (or whatever brand you desire) and lower the suspension. No big deal. The TKO600 is top of the line for Cobras and the mystery 427 could be center oiler (or a sideoiler) and is still a wonderful vintage engine.

Or you can pay Shelby $110,000 for a roller and then add another $30,000 to $40,000 +/- to finish.

When others are selling for $115,000-$125,000, this is a nice deal. And there's always a little wiggle room. The ad doesn't say "firm."

sure, .... to build your own perfect car you can put 40 grands into that car, always cheaper than to finish a new csx roller...

I know that tread pattern anywhere. Also, if you blow up the pic, then you'll BFGoodrich Radial TA. Ad is wrong, unless seller changed the tires from the time that the pic was taken.

Just picked up Blue at McC last night - getting a splitter made.
I had them do a couple extra things while she was there.
Now they call me Rick II.

There will never be a Rick II.........I just sold a splitter and bumpers off the ERA to Nick. I assume Pete fab'd the splitter........so Blue is a Street ?
You need a Blue S/C......I stopped by McCluskey's and saw your car under wraps....looks very nice and the angle is now perfect....Mine was off until we kicked her back.

Blue is a CSX Street. And yup, Pete made it.
When it's painted you should come by.
