I second the radiator wrap, I've used it twice and once on a country highway at 2:30 in the AM. Nobody around for many,.....miles. Wrapped the hose, added some water and on the road again. I don't know what I had done without it ! 
Always,.........Duct tape !
I also have in my trunk a medium size tool box with sockets, screw drivers, wire, small hammer etc. A emergency kit, both medical kit and road kit with flash light, flashing help lighting and a over the counter phone.
These don't take much room, and can save your or someone's life.
