I believe Brian, with my 20 here in the NW, and Dan can chime in on his end, 53 was the last # I believe Dan had, that over's 70. I spoke with Arnie Brown this morning he will send a few proof's to Dan and myself, in 3 week's, and then have a del. time for the rest of the order by then. I want to thank the club, for getting behind this project and making it happen, without you folk's it would still be just a idea in Buzz's head We're glad to get it out-of-there Cheers Tom.

Just a thought. Have you considered doing the Cobra's hood in white and leaving the eyes and mouth red?

Well guys, here is the long and short of it. Arnie Brown, the fellow that Tom hooked up with to make these things, was supposed to call me back last night with status on our proofs. No call so far. Turns out the badges are being made in China. Somehow I got the impression they were being made in UK. Anyway.,,,It appears that this will take longer than first thought. I will keep pressing and let everyone know as soon as I find something out.

I'm not shocked they're being made in China - my local contact (that does a lot of sports pins) does their designs / artwork here, but all their manufacturing is done in China.

That's not the worst of it - the design work was done in the Caribbean!

Again from China. I think it's a pity and very worrying that everything you buy today comes from China. Well-known manufacturers let our connecting rods, etc. produce there .............
I'm still looking forward to the badges and would like to thank Dan once again.

While speaking with Arnie, on Monday morning (9;33am) and his time (12;33am) he told me he would call the factory (he said hours ahead) and get back to me (by email) As it was my computer went MIA, and asked Dan, to call Arnie for a time frame (For proof's). I too knew they would be made out of country (but didn't know China) If our badges are of the same quality, and finish, as the sample badges, I received, I believe we will all will be happy with the results. Cheers Tom.

I spent a lot of years in the IT services / outsourcing business. One of the critical factors in any successful outsourcing / services agreement (not just IT services) is defining, measuring, monitoring and managing the desired outcomes. I have also observed many, perhaps most, services agreements with problems are because they haven't spent the proper amount of time and effort defining, measuring, monitoring and managing desired outcomes. Good results don't just happen, they're made to happen.

With the reputation Arnie Brown has, I expect they've invested the necessary time and effort with their manufacturer in China to ensure the products meet their expectations.

I, for one, am certainly looking forward to the results!

I just got the email from Arnie with the final artwork. Artwork is fine but the color key is still labeled black where it should say white. The option is to have the factory send finished badges for proofing or to have them go ahead and manufacture the entire order. Either will take 3 weeks, so if we ask for the proofs then the actual badge order is 6 weeks out.
Going by the artwork - which looks perfect - and the known quality of the badges, my suggestion is to get that typo corrected on the artwork proof and go ahead with the order. I'll reply to the email about the colors but it would be a good idea for Tom to give him a phone call as he did say his computer sometimes goes south.
He also said he's 86 and still chases girls but he can't remember what for!

The order has been placed. I don't think any extras were ordered. I know I did not order any.

Sorry t walgamuth, that ship has sailed. I had ordered 2-extra's, but those were paid & spoken for, a month ago. Until someone else order's a min. of 40 more, and it wouldn't be Dan or I I believe we're out of the badge business, correct Dan? . This order may be the only ones ever made. If you would like to start a another order, ask Dan or myself we will get you in touch of the mgf. company.
