i may not get that lucky, my policy ends in July. trying to get ahead of this as i remember getting insurance for the car was all over the map as far as pricing for agreed value, and some companies don't engage in it at all.

I got the notice from Mid West Classic Insurance early this year stating they would not be renewing insurance anymore and to contact Hagerty for coverage. I contacted Mid West last week to change my address from TX to SC. I was pleasantly surprised that they are still going to be writing policies and are using American Modern instead of Infinity for underwriting. Cheaper here in SC ($223 VS $353) for a Agreed policy.

Hagerty has always treated me well in Vermont while owning my Cobras.

Hagerty was quick to reimburse me for towing, and I had a towing claim with Mid West Classic and that was quickly paid as well. I never have had a collision claim since I've owned this BDR. Hagerty was $785 VS the 353 per year using Mid West. Same values, towing, hotels, parts, deductible, etc...

I contacted Robbin at MidWest a few weeks ago. He quoted me Hagerty and American Modern. Hagerty was $485 and AM was $275 for the same coverage for a year.

So he sent me the quote, and within a day, I was bombarded by spam email for insurance. The email account I used has almost no traffic. Every day now, I get 15-20 garbage emails about insurance for home, ccw, life, and just about every other thing you can insure and they come from a different email address every day. I think either Midwest or somebody he used does not have a secure server.

No issues here with spam. Know Google will "Help" you out by turning over your search history to 3rd party sellers. I crack up constantly as my wife gets spam on her phone from sites and searches I've been to. Keeps me in check I guess.

We live in NJ and recently dumped NJ Manufacturers after 40 years. Rates are too high. Switched to Geico for much better rates on Homeowners and Auto. I did not insure my Backdraft with Geico and went with Hagerty instead. Full coverage for $726 a year. This was $400 less than NJM wanted. Process was painless.

Default Looking for new insurance now

We are currently insured by Infinity but were told they are not going to do business in Washington State next year. So I'll be watching this thread. I thought I had the stated value for loss. I figured the value I stated was a big part in the pricing of the policy and the having the insurance ,after the fact, guess the value just stinks. All these car are one offs, What could go wrong?
Some cars are better than others. mine is not a slouch. Worst case I'm not ready to build another car. and would do some things differently if it was the thing to do again. This car has gone through the age thing to no longer be emissions sniffed every other year.

I originally ended up with Grundy, because they let me insure the car before it was complete. I wanted to insure it before I sent it out for paint.
I have since shopped around and ended up with American Modern through Barrett Jackson. I found out in the process, if you go to American Modern direct, it's the same price.
I'm in the Phoenix area and we have two vehicles. FFR Cobra 6000 miles a year and 75K Declared Value about $570/year. 2018 GT350 3000 miles a year, they verified past odometer history, 70K Declared Value about $750. They will not allow/offer more than 3000 miles a year and has to be secondary vehicle for late model vehicles.
Collectively, I saved about $700/year with Am Mod over Grundy and Progressive. Plus, the GT350 has Declared Value, which was not the case before.

I have also had very good luck with Grundy Worldwide but live in NC, not sure it makes a difference? I have them insuring all my Classic Cars, 5 total, including my Cobra (Superformance #2454). They allow me to set the value for all my cars. The Cobra is insured for $70k with $500 deductible Collision & Comprehensive for a annual premium of $250/yr.
As far easy to do business with, my 1973 Datsun 240z fuel pump failed and needed a tow. Grundy reimbursed it no questions asked, I was impressed.

Good luck!

We will need to talk to some one. The web sites are for originals. I could not enter a REPLICA of a 1965 Shelby 427 SC 2 door roadster, made by Everett-Morrison, in 1984 I have had this car for 21 years. It was made to replicate original car. does not have 22" or greater wheels, no it is not tubed, the frame was made this way to be better than original, did not spend over $10,000 for paint job. I do not even go to work anymore, I have other normal trucks to drive and tow everyday . I have not driven the replica more than 1500 miles a year average is way lower. I usually drive in nice weather have been caught in down poor. and don't want to die. Just give me a phone number.
