That first picture on the rear tube was what I was suggesting. I only have one roll bar so it wouldn't look symmetrical like that but I don't think that too bad.

I've stolen everything.
Except for that pic. That's mine.

Wouldn't you two feel better about yourselves if you simply said "Patrick's fabricating skills are clearly top-notch. Alas, if only we were half as good as he."

Fabricating threads? Sure.

Third brake-lights? Check.
Cake sprinkles bottle/catch can? Check.
Car cocoon? Check.
Turkey pans with metal spring garter belts? Check.

Who knows how many I'm missing.
I miss Chas.

Default Third Brake Light

Hi Rad,

I fabricated a 2 color(Red & White) LED component from JDMtoy into my license plate holder. The white functions as a license plate & backup light. The red is my third brake light. This is the only LED on the car. You also need a simple inexpensive logic module so the third brake light doesn't blink when turn signals are used. Those are available at most place that have trailer and RV accessories or on the internet. Only a couple of splices to make. I also incorporated the new strobe module feature that is available on some new vehicles. It strobes the brake light quickly before it remains on steady. Really gets your attention. The strobe module is available at Super Bright LED on line. About $5.00. It is easy to wire. It is 3 wires and 2 splices. NickName: fullsizeoutput_bf.jpg

I've been dreaming about a third light for a long while now . I am glad the OP
brought this up . I am really considering a good quality high back seat which
would be safer but kills the original look . I have had people run up on me pretty
close just to get a closer look at my car and I usually pull over and let them by .
But at a stop if someone pops you good you seriously injured and even could get
a broken neck or even death . .

I got to thinking the old Corvettes and early Thunderbirds have the same
safety problem . ( I can't name all the other two seat sports cars with the
exact same issue.) . Too bad we can't have the James Bond options for
tailgaters . And for too many years now people have their heads buried in
their cell phones and it is more dangerous now than ever and my Cobra is
one car I don't want to get rear ended in ! High back seats seem to be a
wise choice IMO . And we will never be able to fix STUPID drivers .

Indeed. Safety first. I don't think they kill the looks.

I installed Patrickt's 3rd brake light mod last year and really like it. Very stealth until you hit the brakes. Thanks for the How-To Patrick!

Looks good. It also acts to keep large flocks of birds from attacking you.

Thinking outside the box. Who says the third brake light needs to be attached to the vehicle?

You could also make something yourself that would serve.

And if you are in a pillaging mood:

It would be LAW that 3rd brake lights are to be a PERMANENT part of the vehicle if required.
