My track days are behind me, but when I was into it I must have spun my Cobra at least two dozen times . . . without damaging the car. My method was to never approach 10/10ths of my capability in a turn unless there was a big runoff clear of trees, ditches, etc. On the other turns I'd dial it back to 8/10ths after the tires were warm AND I had become familiar with the surface. On cold tires and public roads I seldom topped 6/10ths.

We had the sprint car on the driveway one time when a new neighbor came buy asking what the hell is that, once I explained the car and raced on dirt, turning left at our local high banked 1/3rd mile at 100 mph, he said, and you intentionally get the car sideways on purpose to turn ? You're insane !!! 🤣
