When the site is down it's like walking into the garage and your car is gone. A real gut punch. I'm glad things are still working cause I was worried that "that was it".

Happy Valentines Day all!!

Glad to see it back up (again), and even the portal is working as well
Way too much information here to lose.

Too much to expect an explanation of why it went down for so long?
That helps us grumpy ol' blokes if we know how/why.

Thank you, and cheers!

Yes, that's what it felt like.

But thanks to Brent, all is well for the community.

Unfortunately it's been a bad year in my life. I do apologize for the delays and problems, but sometimes things have to take a back seat. It has eaten at me...Believe that.

Somehow I guessed that. Life is always darkest before the dawn and, if you keep that in mind, you'll pull through it all.

Brent,

Thank you for all you do and I hope that everything gets much better quickly. You have a lot on your mind and your health should come before other things. Best wishes.

Brent,

Great to see the site back and we all understand how life can get in the way of our hobbies . Always interested in seeing what's going on in the world of fellow enthusiasts of american power in British sports cars.

Brent,
Can some of us members make a financial contribution to help keep this site going?

Thanks,

When somebody has something big go on in their life, updating a car forum deservedly drops to the bottom of the list. That said, Brent, the Thread Views have not been updating for a few months, that can cause other problems. Here's a vBulletin thread discussing it and fixes: https://forum.vbulletin.com/forum/vb...s-not-updating

Mike,

Go to your page, click on User CP, go to edit options and that should bring you to your control panel on the left. Towards the bottom is a paid subscription link and you can then choose how much you wold like to contribute.

Brent,

Hope that this year is much better for you. We all deal with things that slow us down at time, good to see that you are getting back on your feet again. Thanks for all that you do.

Jim

I, and no doubt many others, appreciate the reply, Brent. As mentioned it helps our understanding of the problems faced, both technical and personal.

A lot of us have "a bad year" in our lives, and can relate to the stress and frustration. I don't know you personally, but I do wish you the best for the next year, and beyond.

Here's cheers, mate!
Glen
