I guess I’m confused because the Cobra Experience website (CE is the outfit managing the online registry) shows a hard copy of the Registry in the background. That implies, at the least, that their online version is a sanctioned continuation of the print versions. Bill, are you saying that’s not the case?
I’m not trying to stir the pot or call anyone out—I’m genuinely confused here. I’ve met one of the two women involved with the Cobra Experience, and corresponded with the other, and they were extremely competent and knowledgeable about Cobras. As I’ve posted before on this site, the Cobra Experience collection itself is a pretty amazing thing, with several small- and big-block Cobras, a Dragon Snake, a King Cobra, a bunch of Shelbys, a McCluskey Daytona, and an incredible amount of parts and memorabilia. I came away very, very impressed with the whole outfit, so I’m curious to know where they stand vis-a-vis SAAC and the print registry. Given that the last edition was apparently printed in 2008, it would seem that there is probably a whole lot of info about these cars generated in the intervening dozen years that only the online registry could have.
Someone enlighten us, please!
