I am just baffled because I wanted to give them my business. Built a cart of nearly $1000. Called and turns out that the voicemail box is full, indicating that it hasn't been checked for a while.
Waited, tried contacting. Emailed, still no response.
I guess I was naive enough to assume something had improved. Clearly, things haven't.
Vintage Wheels has most things I was looking for. I found the shifter at iconicparts. There are some grommets etc. that I still need, but I am sure I'll find them elsewhere.
Weird way of doing business.

This is what is confusing, you say this site but do not say, the exact one .please say the exact vendor so there will be less confusion .

It’s CSX Parts. Don’t think we are supposed to promote them on this forum. Don’t think they are a supporting vendor. Primarily original parts replacement stuff not an accessory shop like Finishline.

Not doing business. It's a going out of business plan. Pretty hopeless at this point.

Yes that’s the one. Just purchased a few things from them 2 weeks ago. 1 week to get from CA to CT no issues. They answer the phone too.

Anybody that gets burned today in a transaction with this jerk and then comes to this site or this thread to cry, deserves what happened to them.
The first post in this thread (not counting other older threads) was in February of 2020 more than two years ago. If you chose to buy without checking out the reseller and then come after the fact to cry about what happened to you, you are deserving of your predicament.
You should think of your predicament as a learning experience. Consider the price of the trinket you purchased as the tuition you paid. Who knows if you go to class often enough you might even graduate.
Coming to the CC site after the fact and complaining will not fix you problem, this guy doesn't give a $hit. Pro-actively searching the CC site for bad news about a particular reseller before purchasing makes a lot more sense than complaining after purchasing.
Shoot, ready, aim, complain never works as well as research, ready, aim, shoot.

Pay with a credit card. Know your card's dispute-a-transaction policy and if you don't get your goods (not a tracking number from him, but actual delivery at your doorstep) then dispute the transaction and get your money back. He is backcharged. If enough disputed transactions show up he will eventually lose the ability to use the card account. I suggest American Express if you have one as they are the toughest I've found (I've had an Amex card since 1977. They used to have celebrities flashing their "member since" age... They haven't approached me yet.)

Spot on Tony! You are absolutely right about using a credit card and AMEX inparticular. They play baseball on the card holder's team, unless you turn out to be a jerk — and then you usually don't have the card that long.
I've been waiting for them to ask me to flash my member since age for a while now but, as luck would have it, I'm not a celeb although I have been around for a while (1969).

One of the old-wives-tales about American Express was that Walter Cronkite had a "black" card - before there was such a thing, I think. He had cards for most of the "crew" that worked for and traveled with him and charged everthing on Amex. His monthly bill could approach $1M. And that was back in the 60s... They keep trying to get me to upgrade to a platinum card but I really don't get anything that I care about over the gold card (I also have one for my wife, and we charge almost everything to it.) I used it for business travel until the 90s - I also had a Diners - but started really using it in the mid 90s. I've racked up over 500K "points". Need to start using them since I don't think they survive me.

I have purchased from both. One of them the owner answered calls, discussed what the customer wanted, and the vendor delivered the product as described. One of them I had to make a claim on my credit card for not delivering.
