agreed, don't put a SB in a 427 car... if a SB is desired get a 289 car.

How about put whatever the hell you want in and be happy with it? I had an FE in my last ERA. Mild build that would overheat at the drop of a hat despite every effort to keep it cool. Curb weight probably well north of 2700 pounds. Nose-heavy in corners. The 351W-based 420 in my current Hi-Tech made close to 600/600 on an engine dyno, sounds great, keeps its cool no matter what the ambient temp or traffic conditions, and contributes to a curb weight of just over 2400 pounds. The car is neutral in fast corners and in the one GPS-timed run I’ve made hit 60 in less than 3.5 seconds and the quarter in just over 11. I have no want or need for anything more from the car or the engine. Others may agree or not, but that’s one of the things that makes our hobby great. Why dictate what anyone else should or shouldn’t do?
