Default Shell valley odd clutch setup?

I have a Shell Valley Cobra that instead of having each pedal press directly on the MC, it has the brake pedal on the inside pushing on the MC near the fender well and the clutch pedal has this odd arm depressing it inboard next to the steering shaft, so the positions are reversed. I’m trying to sort out why this clutch has both super heavy pedal pressure AND long travel to the floor ( no sponginess) and am wondering if this weird setup is part of the problem throwing the pedal ratio off. If anyone knows if this is a standard shell valley setup or a homegrown idea that didn’t work out I would appreciate the insight. The slave end is a HTOB - looks like a Tilton. Inside the car under the dash the pedals just go up into a couple of slots in the body andi haven’t yet found any kind of access panel to even see what’s going on in the pedal box. I may just have to take out this complicated setup and hang a simple pedal box under the floor if no one can get me insight on how this is supposed to work. Any insights appreciated.
On another topic, I know someone will ask me to post a photo of the setup.
I finally figured out how to upload pictures to the gallery and I’ve read all the tips on how to include pictures in a post but darn if I still don’t see anything on this window about how to include a picture in a post.
If anyone knows where the “insert photo” button is I would appreciate that tip as well. How could inserting a photo be this unintuitive in 2020?
