If you`re coming out to the toy run Saturday, we can talk more.

depends on what kind of person you are.

I had tko3550 with a 3.27 1st gear and .64 5th gear with 3.55 rear gear and really didn't like the drop off from 4th to 5th gear. I also didn't need that much gear in 1st either; so I hated my 1st and 5th gear.

I changed transmissions to a 6 speed T-56 with a 2.66 1st gear, .8 5th gear and .63 6th gear.

Tko3350 with a 3.55:
1st gear x rear gear ratio = 11.61 [too high in my opinion]
5th gear x rear gear ratio = 2.27 [too low in my opinion]

I really like the new gear ratios in my t56 so I think you would be fine with 3.08s...
T56:
1st gear x rear gear ratio = 9.44
5th gear x rear gear ratio = 2.84

Year current tko600 with 3.55 gear:
1st gear x rear gear ratio = 10.19
5th gear x rear gear ratio = 2.91

your TKO600 With 3.08 rear gear:
1st gear x rear gear ratio = 8.84
5th gear x rear gear ratio = 2.53

Good to make a spreadsheet so you can compare different gear ratios x rear gear in different transmissions to get to the right spot.

I had a A&C with a tko600,3.50 gears,315’s with a 428fe...the rpms didn’t bother me as much as the noise. I switched the mufflers to Classic Chambered Mufflers and at 75mph I would have conversations with the passenger and hear every word.

fastd, try the Second Strike Gearing Calculator <= clickable. It has all the transmissions, ring & pinions and tire sizes built in so you can do quicker comparisons — and it will do it for all gears across all rpms.

A low numerical ratio like 2.27 is a high ratio.
A high numerical ratio like 11.61 is a low ratio.
So when comparing ratios, say for 1st gear, 13:1 is a LOWER ratio than 11.61.
