Not even close. Peter wouldn't let anything like that leave the shop, except for in the dumpster.

Not an ERA, not a Contemporary, not a Superformance, not a Factory Five, not a Unique, not a Shelby, well you get the idea

Maybe Arntz/Butler or maybe a Bennett??? Look how far back the engine is and how high the steering column comes out of the dash and the door hinges?

Default Hmmm... (stroking beard)

Definitely not an ERA. Closer in in appearance to an early Contemporary actually, with the following cues:
* Very pronounced SC-style rear fender lip.
* Rounded front fender flares
* Upright radiator
* Reasonably accurate body shape
* Torsion bar front suspension (?) hard to tell - can't see a tubular X-member.

*BUTT* Its missing the +/- 1.5" vertical lip around the engine compartment opening and it has a funky transmission tunnel. Also external trunk hinges (although those could be added by a lazy builder). So it is NOT a Contemporary either.

Looks like there's been some fiberglass cutting/hacking in the lower front inner fender area aft of the radiator and the hood latch catches look like a home made hack. Rear lights came from something or the other ... and I absolutely refuse to mention mention the PVC looking roll bar

Its also not a NAF, Arntz/Butler, FFR, Shell Valley, Hurricane or any of the others mentioned in previous posts above.

I would need more pics to narrow it down further, but we at least can be sure its not an ERA.

16 year old you would love the roll bar though you'd be pissed it only has one instead of two

I have an ERA so it took about 1 second (maybe a bit less) to see it's not an ERA.

Can a Car "Identify" as something else?
Maybe it wants to be an ERA....Who are we to Judge Her? or Him?

No idea what it is. Dig in and see what you learn from the car and seller. Looks like the seller isn’t looking for a lot of money for the car. What matters is what you like. As many others have noted these are not investments. Consider what’s important to you. I’m personally on my 4th and likely last replica. First 3 had significant budgets constraints with compromises while the current is essentially what I wanted and could finally own. You can change lots including seats, roll bars, wheels etc. Enjoy the education and search, talk to other owners. Most are happy to show you their cars and share their knowledge. Hope you figure this one out. If it’s not right keep looking. There was a Factory 5 for sale on this site in the same price range that might work for you and another on FB market place. Don’t know the cars but they’re around with others.

I can't believe all the experts missed the most important upgrade on this Cobra Replica? Come on, those cup holders have got to up the price by at least a couple of thousand! Cheers, Dennis
