Well, a little update. A test drive showed that the windows were being pulled away from the top at speed. I set them up so that they contacted the top before the door closed, hoping the tension would solve this. Not so much, so I came up with two clips. The first is at the top front of the window, and is passive, the window slips behind it as the door closes.
The nut you see here was for fitting, I trimmed the screw and used a nyloc for final fitting.
The second clip is attached to the window further back, you just turn it after you’re in the car.
We did a 175 mile lunch run after installing these and all worked well. We were comfortable even though the temperature was about 40. No rattles leaks or whistles, so we’ll call it good,
