rbray,

you must have a lot of patience and focus. Some of the cuts and angle bends from the head/side of the tunnel to the foot boxes must have been fun. Boy, it makes me want to go buy a shear, bender, and an English wheel. Or maybe not and I'll just go beat a ball-peen hammer into a Pepsi can or something..and just enjoy your picutures instead.

Nice work!

Brent,
I'm using the same tools to cut curves that you are .. I agree it's a pain! When you find a better way let me know.

Thumbs up

RB and Brent,
I have found a set of metal shears that cuts like a breeze through 18 gauge. They will cut out a circle as small as a dime.
These have got to be the best metal shears out there. You can clamp a guide on to the metal you want to cut and it will cut it straight with a nice edge. I used it a bunch on the stainless steel panels on the GT40.
Makita also makes them and one other company that I can't remember their name. They have them at Lowes and Home depot. Better yet buy on the internet and pay no taxes.

That really is great work and something to be proud of.

What kind of amphetamines were you taking?

BT: Looks like a great too. It is going on my wish list. Thanks for the tip.

Al: I have the 30" , but the 42" would be much better. I didn't know they made a combination machine that wide. Oh well live and learn.

Roscoe: Just diet Pepsi.
