Go get 'em, Hersh! I seem to recall that Hi-Tech had problems with the financial end of things, and that ultimately did them in. Could be wrong on that, but I do know that their products were the equal of anything out there. I have seen a replica of CSX3002 that they built for a customer which was an absolute dead-ringer for the original--it even had the "289 front clip/427 rear" body style that made 3002 unique. Their cars are advertised on Cobra Country occasionally, usually at price levels between an ERA and a Kirkham/Shelby.

I'm pulling for you, BT!

Bob

S.F.CJ,

The Hi-Tech was an authentic duplicate of the original car. I don't know where they got the "original" suspension pieces, but they were not donor-based. Good 'ol trunion-design that dated from the '50s.

Sold $21,495. I went past my 20k limit, but I couldn't keep going on the car sight unseen. I was afraid it would sit in my shop unfinished for years.

Was the buyer a CC member?

It went over my limit also. I gues it wasn't meant to be!? An ERA won't hurt my feelings. Like the looks better anyhow!
