Evan, Evan, Evan.............I wasn't knocking your CAR............I was knocking YOU! I like CSX cars, I just think that Shelby priced them at what they are, just because of his name - not because they are built any better. Hey, if I had the money, I would buy one just for investment alone. After C.S kicks the bucket, they may just go up by 25-50%...........for awhile. The market will dictate what happens. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. There are a lot of "someones" out there in this case though! -A lot of people w/ a lot of admiration for Shelby and his cars.
Also...........I never said that I thought SPF cars were "better" than CSX cars. I think they are 2 different cars for 2 different people. -Those who want to "build" a car to win races go SPF. Those who want to win at the car shows go CSX. Now, I'm not saying that you can't do BOTH with either car! This is just MHO on what customers these 2 brands bring out. (we all would like to do a little of BOTH!) Maybe Shelby should enter a car in Car & Driver's One Lap of America, or, in the Run & Gun this year? It would be sweet to have some bragging rights (if he won) to help justify his high prices! Line 'em up..............see what happens!
Look, it's not your car Evan, it's what you write in your post! I believe SPF offers the best car "for the money". I think YOU believe that CSX is the "best car....period!" Why is it the best car? Is it because it has Shelby's name on it? Is it because of how much it cost? Is it because you've lined up and beat every other Cobra replica mfgr. in a race? Have you beat them all in car shows? What is it??
I don't know, maybe it's your personality, or, maybe it's just the pride of ownership that comes out in your posts? I gotta go with mrmike on his post above and the reference of a "kid on the playground". I'll tell you what, I'm willing to call it "pride" from now on.....hows that?
Bottom line is: We all share the same passion for the same car here. Everyone has their reasons for going with the Chassis that they went with. They all have their good points and their bad points......or, lets just say their "differences". Some are definately better than others, and for different reason's. In the end, they're ALL great cars and give us reasons to be proud. Let's just not forget that no matter who's Cobra we end up choosing, if you lined us all up.............EVERYONE'S $hit would still stink!
