Default Where do I buy a Ford 9 inch center section rear, new

Where do I buy a Ford 9 inch center section rear, new.

I'll be using a Tremec TKO II (475 ft-pounds torque capacity) and I would like to buy a new rear. I'm thinking 3.33 or 3.50 gears.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

rsimoes Summit or Jeg's both have carrier and related parts I would go to the salvage yard and get a carrier and order the relaten parts from one of the venders and take it to a reliable shop have them mag. the carrier and put it togather

He is a full service shop that can custom make or set up your rear end. You'll need to know what specs you want (axle lengths, tube ends,C-clip eliminator etc) before buying/ordering........He is a master WD for Winters, 9+, and currie.................

If you're not in a hurry, go to Lowe's Motor Speedway in April to the Auto Fair. You can find just about anything for a Cobra, plus any other car, there . . . even a complete new Cobra. But there is about any set up for a 9-inch Ford you can imagine, from nodular center sections with lockers to bread-and-butter open assemblies in any gear ratio you desire ready to plug in. Most of these diffs are "newly rebuilt".

Everthing you ever wanted to know and more about nine-inch Fords can be found on: http://hometown.aol.com/asimmsjr/viet14.htm

By the way, I got my nine-inch Traction Loc for $275 at the Charlotte Auto Fair. It's a good idea to have a wagon or golf cart for toting out such a heavy piece.

Thumbs up Make mine

Strange Engineering. Expensive, but many recent national drag records have been made with this type/brand of rear end...mine is the Street Pro posi 3.00 with 33 spline Street Pro axles.

You can get SE from www.jegs.com
