While I was building my A&C and had the chassis, engine and drivetrain completed I wanted to truck it up to A&C and fit the body on. At that point, I had the car titled. I contacted several companies and Hagarty was the only one I found that would insure my chassis setup. Subsequently Hagarty stopped insuring Cobras last year and I am now with another company.
So maybe it can still be done but you may have to call ALOT of companies before you find one.
