When do you insure your Cobra during the build?

My insurance agent told me as long as I was building my car and it was not titled as a vevicle it was covered under my garage "contents"clause. I did need to have receipts to prove it was part of my contents. I did raise my garage "contents value to make sure I had ample coverage.
