I think they are a few things to deal with that make fix a flat and a compressor the best way to go. Even if you can get a donut spare to fit in trunk, what do you do with the big flat tire. Put it in the passenger seat or trunk with a bungee cord to hold trunk lid. Not too many jacks will fit under my car either ( 4.5" clear to frame with all 4 tires inflated) Not sure how low it would get with a flat.
