Which Dealers Are Selling New Cobras at BIG Discounts ????
I've heard that some dealers are selling NEW complete rollers and/or turn-key Cobras at a discount. I would like to know the fact from fiction.
If you know of any dealers who are selling new cars at a substantial (like 10% or higher) discount, please list them here or e-mail me privately. I'm ready to deal !!! Thanks.

Getting a discount depends on your negotiating skill and the amount of sales the manufacturer has at the time you negotiate. FFR just offered a $1000 discount on their kit but now that sales are up they are pretty firm on their price. I bought from Randy Hunter and he is willing to make a few concessions on his kit depending on how much you buy at once. His website is offering a free aluminum fuel tank right now and he may negotiate shipping if you ask.

That being said you need to figure out what car you want and what you want to put into the car as far as suspension, motor, interior etc.

Brett, what are you looking for? I ordered a completed turnkey Carcepts 427 for $26k. It will have a lot of used parts out of a Mustang. If you're looking for a high-end car with new parts, I can't help ya.

I just bought a 427 Cobra turn key from Team-C-Racing.com. The costs in the mid 20's. I really think you get a big bang for your buck. They are a small personable company with a large company selectionb, parts and accessories. So far it's been a great experience working with them. They helped me with all the steps from titling it to placement of the remote oil filter. They constantly give me updates by phone. Hopefully, I'll pick the car up next week some time. I went with a 302 crate motor which they are dropping in for me. They had a gteat selection of used motors in stock. Look them up, you won't be sorry.

Hi Guys,
First off, I am definitely not interested in a kit. That said, I am very interested in any discounted NEW rollers or NEW turn-key cars. Names like ERA, Superformance, Unique, etc, etc. Glass-bodied cars only.
If you know who's dealin', or landed a good one yourself, please lay it on me. Thanks.

If it's heavily discounted, there's a reason for it. A turn key, or roller with lots of "Used" MII parts should tell you that this is no bargan. You'll spend more upgrading the junk parts than if you started from scratch.
Step one is to become an educated consumer so you can determine quality, value, and performance for yourself. That's what we're here for.
If you don't want to build, than you're looking "Previously Owned", not roller or turn key. Shop around; once you know what to shop for, what questions to ask, and what the right answers are.

i can only speak for Superformance, and no other brand of Replica.
Superformance adheares to a "Saturn-Like" firm sale price on their rollers. They also have specific geographic areas allocated to each dealer.
But while the roller is fixed in price, you can always do your own engine installation or engine selection if you really wanted to, the SPF dealers are very helpful in this regard.
When i bought my SPF three years ago, i thought about doing my own engine, even building it, but i have since realized that building an engine with reliabiltiy is something best left to the masters, and as for the installation costs, since it included ancillaries like driveshaft, battery, hoses, etc, that i would not save any money by having someone else or myself do it. Besides, that way i had a warranty, which i have never had to use.
The quoted price at least for an SPF roller is what it will take to put one in your garage.
When i got mine, my wife had given me an absolute ceiling on my cost. So i got the bare car, with a stroked 396 engine. But as the three years have passed, i have been able to put thousands more in modifications and changes to my car. You don't have to purchase the "final" car for you, you can do it my way.
Most of this is totally unknown to my wife.

Unless you come across a one in a million deal, which is unlikely, big dips in price will also by accompanied junk yard parts. You REALLY have to look under the skin. Most cars that are built to be sold are made up from used parts. I got my car at a low price. Was uneducated. Got hammered. Car is perfect now, but I spent $15k to get it that way.

Good News Update on New Car Deals !!!
After receiving numerous e-mail replies, I would like to say YEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAWWWW !!!!
I was pleasantly surprised to hear from some owners of higher-end cars. They managed to get very good deals on their new Cobra purchases. It was previously mentioned that Superformance adheres to "Saturn-like" pricing. However, some SPF owners report getting discounts, including a substantial amount of FREE options. Several guys also got discounts from their engine builders/installers (usually the ones recommended by the car dealers). I LOVE IT !!! DEALS ARE OUT THERE !!!
I also recommend that you talk with Pegasus Performance about their new turn-key Cobra. Ask about their special program that involves free options, etc. Sounds super !!!!
So what have I learned so far ????? You don't ALWAYS have to pay FULL retail for a new Cobra. It can't hurt to ask for a deal, make an offer, ask for free options, etc, etc. Personally, I can't believe a dealer would risk losing a sale over a few thousand dollars. Especially when it involves $50K+ cars.
Thanks to all for the "education." If you have a scoop on other good deals, please post 'em or e-mail me. Muchas gratias !!!
Y'all take it easy now, Brett

I think the way to go these days is buying a used Superformance (ERA, etc...) Cobra. There are several out there that have 200 - 2500 miles on them for very reasonable prices. For example, why pay for a 351 c.i. or 460 c.i. "crate engine" Cobra, when you could get a custom built 351 c.i., 460 c.i., 514 c.i., etc... Cobra with all of the options for even less!
