It's the rings seating in...
Be sure your breather is on the driver's side, PCV on the passenger's side. And be SURE NOT to use synthetic oil for the first 3 to 5 K miles (depending on who you believe.. I am going for 5 k upon reflection)
My motor breathed heavy mist until about 2k miles, including puking some out of the dipstick area, until I went with a billet/o-ring type. Much better, no mist or weepage on the valve covers at all, now that the rings are seating
