CSX 4148 on e-bay
Ok,
Didn't this car just change hands at spring fling? As I recall it was traded for a 1984 Porsche 930 with 7300 miles and a complete CSX roller. $85k seeems like a really good deal...

KK,
This is a GREAT deal if in fact it goes for a mere $85K. I have driven this car. It may not handle as well as some out there and doesn't have quite the umph under the hood as some other BBs but it sounds great, runs fast enough to scare all but the bravest non-cobra owner and is a real head turner. No need for paint. That beautiful aluminum finish screams out that it is an alloy car and that is obviously important to the true value of the automobile --- at least for some folks. However, should paint be the choice, even if you threw another $20K on for paint, it is still a "real" cobra and worth another $20K on top of that .... isn't it?

Thanks,

Edited to be nicer!
It's a gorgeous car that seems to have been made right - despite Turk's involvement.

I would guess the imperfections of aluminum as compared to a molded fiberglass. After all it is a car that is hand built, panel by panel, and no two will be identical.
I found out that the fiberglass lovers will fault any alloy car, yet those who love aluminum cars will embrace it, warts and all.
All kidding aside, it is a great car. It took another CSX and a Porsche thrown in to pry it out of my hands. Best part of it is, it is California legal. That in itself is becoming more and more a desired quality in ANY Cobra nowadays.
TURK
I miss my car.

I think it is probably worth around $180,000 or something like that.

Dave,
None of it. If it was, it would be worth a lot more!
