I'm not "tired" of guys advertising cars as "Shelby" Cobras. I don't really care what they do. I'm just pointing out it seems somewhat hypocritical to knock the man, the name and the new Continuation Cobra as just overpriced because of a name and then try to trade on that name and cozey up to it to benefit themselves. Actually it just supports everything I've always said.

As to advertising my car on ebay, First, if I did I guess I could put my car in either category properly. Technically pursuant to DMV regs it arguably fits the technical definition since it doesn't come powered from the manufacturer. But I can also correctly and properly put it in the "Shelby Cobra" category because thats exactly what it is. You can't with a SPF. Guys do anyway. Why? The reason is obvious. The guy in question not only put the ad in the Shelby Cobra category he even goes one step further and describes his car as a "Shelby Cobra" in the body of the ad. Its not.

Do I care personally where he placed his ad. Not one iota. Just discussing the subject.

BTW my car is titled and registered as a 2001 reconstruct. I guess MO is similar to NJ.

So I guess while you can "pass of your car off" as a "REAL Backdraft racing roadster" which is exactly what it is you have you still some kind of problem with me telling people my car is a "REAL Shelby Cobra." which is exactly what it is. I always explain its a new Continuation Shelby. In fact I'm proud of that fact. I also find people are fascinated by the re-birth of SAI and the Cobra.

Why doesn't it surprise me that to you I am trying to "pass off my car as a 1965 Cobra" by telling people its a "Shebly Cobra". In fact you seem to have such knowledge what I tell people when they ask me about my car yet you've never been present for one of those discussions.

Why doesn't that surprise me.
