Nuke: That guy should be locked up! Under the profile of the car, he has a "V-8" listed under "engine". If that's the only part of the ad I read, I would assume this car came with an engine. Only LATER, do you find out that it is "ready for a 427". I believe he is also selling a vehicle with non DOT approved tires ......isn't this illegal? What if someone were to get into an accident, and the accident was caused by the tires (blowout maybe?). Talk about a lawsuit! Whew! The car is also listed under "year" as being a 1965. That's not the case either. He may WISH it were a '65! Then LATER in the ad, we find out it was actually ordered in 2002 and shipped in 2003. If it's a 1965, then that's a LONG wait! Maybe it was one of the cars Shelby "found" in a warehouse and decided to sell for an outrageous amount of $$. What should we believe? ............Oh well, at least it's a "Shelby" being sold in the Shelby category. -And THAT'S all that counts!

Evan: I know what your point is, and I DO believe people will use the Shelby, AC, and Cobra name to help sell their cars. But I don't believe anyone is trying to pull the wool over anybodys eyes when doing so (unless their a crook!). I think they're using the names to help IDENTIFY their cars......not to cheat people out of paying more money.
Who says this guy is a hypocrite (which was basically what this post topic initially stated)? How do we know this guy ever bashed Shelby? Heck, maybe he LOVES Shelby and has always spoken highly of the man. Perhaps he has always wanted a Shelby Cobra (just like most of us here) but the best he could afford at the time was a SPF. Give it a rest. ......We should ALL give it a rest. Do we have too much time on our hands, or what!?
